GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2011 - PASSION FRUIT POSSET

Lily O'Brien's is proud to announce our Passion Fruit Posset received two gold starts at the 2011 Great Taste Awards! The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for speciality food and drink. It has been described as the "Oscars" of the food world, and 'the epicurean equivilient of the Booker Prize'. IRISH BUSINESS ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2009

The Business and Finance Enterprise of the Year Award was awarded on the basis of Lily O'Brien's longstanding commitment to growing exports, particularly into the United States market. Given to Mary Ann O'Brien in New York in December 2009, it recognised the business' extraordinary growth over the past decade and in particular the proportion of that growth which was generated through exports on an annual basis. GOLD GREAT TASTE AWARD 2009 - TIRAMISU

Lily O'Brien's has been awarded a Gold Great Taste Award by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers in the UK for its new Tiramisu Recipe. Recently added to our new and improved 230g Desserts Collection, Tiramisu consists of sweet white chocolate infused with espresso on a bed of crisp dark truffle and smothered in milk chocolate topped with a dark chocolate swirl. TWO GOLD GREAT TASTE AWARDS - 2008

Lily O’Brien’s, one of Ireland’s top chocolatiers, based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare is celebrating after winning two prestigious Great Taste Awards. Lily O’Brien’s has been presented with two much-desired Gold Great Taste Awards – one for its Organic Milk Chocolate Ganache recipe, featured in the company’s first Organic Collection and the second for its Honeycomb Crisp bars. IMAGE BUSINESSWOMAN OF THE YEAR - 2007

Mary Ann O'Brien, Founder and MD of Lily O'Brien's Chocolates, was awarded the IMAGE Magazine Businesswoman of the year award in 2007. IMAGE released the following statement on how they came to choose Mary Ann from the other nominees as their overall winner:

"Mary Ann’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings making chocolate in her kitchen in 1992 to an internationally recognised brand in a 33,000 square foot production facility with 125 employees and a turnover of over €20m today, along with her commitment to the charity she founded to help terminally ill babies, The Jack and Jill Foundation, made her an obvious choice for the judging panel, chaired by IMAGE publisher Kevin Kelly, who were looking for pioneering women in business who had advanced the interests of women and served on the boards of charities and artistic bodies". FOOD & DRINK EXPORTER OF THE YEAR - 2006

Lily O'Briens are the proud recipient of the Irish Exporter's Association's Food and Drink Exporter of the Year 2006. The award ceremony, which took place in South Dublin on 22nd November 2006, commended the premium chocolate manufacturer for their unprecedented success in the US and UK markets over the past 12 - 18 months. Lily O'Brien's "Origin 64" collection was awarded a Silver medal in the Great Taste Awards 2006. A unique collection of single origin 64% dark chocolate, made from Trinitario cocoa beans from Costa Rica, this collection was developed as a personal "dream" collection by Mary Ann O'Brien.
